Single Trees Fall Dances 2017

We are immersed in our fall dances. We have a good line up of callers for you and some fun and festive themes. With our newly refinished floors, fun decorations, and yummy refreshments provided by our generous dancers, it should be a great time no matter which dance you attend.  So come and join us. And remember to visit some of the other square dances in the area.

Veterans Dance

November Dances:
Nov 10th, Fri. - Single Trees - Veterans’ Recognition - Jim Hattrick / Jackie Gale - Plus at 7:30 pm, Mainstream from 8-10:30 pm with Rounds. 
 Nov 24th, Fri.  - Single Trees - Mark Wheeler / Jackie Gale - Plus at 7:30 pm, Mainstream from 8-10:30 pm with Rounds.

Special Dances:
Nov 18th, Sat. - Buckeroo (Roseburg) Harvest Dance, Mike Sikorsky,  Pre-Rounds at 7:00 pm, Mainstream with Rounds at 7:30 pm with every 3rd tip plus. $8 per person to cover extra costs.

Veterans Dance

December Dances:
Dec 8th, Fri.  - Single Trees - Jim Hattrick / Jackie Gale - Christmas Dinner/Dance - 6:30 pm buffet dinner starts (Door opens at 6:00 pm for potluck food deliveries.) Plus starts at 7:30 pm, Mainstream from 8-10:30 pm with Rounds.

Dec 22nd - Single Trees - (dark for holidays)

Square Dance Lessons:
Dec 15th - Graduation and dance at 7 pm. Click on the menu bar above for more "lessons" information. Remember, we always need angels to help the new dancers.
Dec 29th - Community Dance with Jim Hattrick. Bring your friends. Time to be announced.

Single Trees July - August 2017 Dance Schedule

July Dance: (Casual)

14th - Red, White, and Blue - Ice Cream Social. Jim Hattrick calling, and Jackie Gale cueing. This is most likely the only square dance in town, so come and enjoy.

July 28th - Dark

August Dances: (Casual)

11th - Hawaiian Luau with Jim Hattrick calling and Jackie Gale cueing. How about some Hawaiian themed finger foods. And don't everyone bring pineapple like last year!! Some of those Hawaiian chips are calling my name. Hope to see you there. Remember, we have air conditioning, so beat the heat and dance away with your nimble (or not so nimble) feet.

25th - End of Summer Dance - What a treat! Come and welcome Les Seeley for his visit to come and call for us all the way from the southwest! Jackie Gale will will be our cuer, and I'm sure she will have some great songs for summer rounds.  See you there. Celebrate!

Single Trees April-May 2017 Square Dances

Spring is here and we will be hopping to some great callers.

April 14th our caller is Jim Hattrick with cuer Jackie Gale. After our Plus from 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm, we will be having a B-51 dance for our newbies who have been taking lessons the last 3 sessions. The Hall will be decorated for Easter, so come in your soft spring colors with a splash of something bright. Remember your finger foods - Easter style See you there.

April 28th will be a tune of a different color - our theme is the Psychedelic 60s with caller Scott Zinser, and Christina Corelli cueing rounds. Dress in your craziest, wildest, brightest colors to make a  swirling mass of dancers like a kaleidoscope. As always, Plus is at 7:30 pm, rounds and mainstream start at 8:00 pm. Stay until 10:30 to dance the night away.

May 12th we will be dark. See combined dance info, below.

Saturday, May 13th we will have our combined Mexican Fiesta Dance with the Whirl-A- Ways. Plus at 7:30 pm, rounds and mainstream at 8:00 p.m. Wear your best fiesta outfits and bring some yummy taco-bar foods. Both clubs will have a sign-up list for this.

May 26th we will also be dark because of the Memorial Day weekend. Everyone is going to be somewhere else.


Special Dances in April and May:

April 29th - Area benefit square dance at the ESDC. 7:30 pm.

May 26-28th - Boatnik Festival with the Charlie Brown Squares at Grants Pass. Hunter Keller and Randy Lewis. This should be a terrific weekend!

Single Trees March 2017 Square Dances

March 10th - Jim Hattrick will be calling for our "Baked Potato Feed" Irish themed dance. We will have baked potatoes supplied by our club with all the toppings supplied by members and anyone else who would like to bring their favorite one. So wear your green and let's have a "shamrocking" good time! Plus at 7:30 pm, rounds and mainstream starting at 8 pm.  Jackie Gale is cueing the rounds. Wonder what new fun dances she will have up her "green" sleeves.

March 24th - KC Curtis is the caller for this dance. It's always a fun time when KC visits our club as a guest caller. Looking forward to a good time with great rhythms and his "Do you remember this??? questions."

Our club cuer, Jackie Gale will be there with her terrific round dance cueing. We are so lucky to have her!

Single Trees February 2017 Dances

Feb 10th, Friday - Sweetheart of a 53rd Birthday Dance.  Our caller, Jim Hattrick will celebrate our year with us with hearts and flowers dances. Be there at 7:30 pm for plus, then join our cuer, Jackie Gale for a few rounds before we start mainstream just after 8 pm. Our club will provide ice cream and cake at the break around 9:30 pm. Then stay on to dance until 10:30 pm. It should be a good evening for all.

Feb. 24th, Friday - Craig Abercrombie will be our guest caller for the evening. Jackie Gale will have us swinging with her great round dance cues. What a month we will have - two really excellent callers. You can't ask for more than that! Come and join us!

January 2017 Single Trees dances

January 13th will bring our Snow-fest dance, held at the B51 level for all the dancers to enjoy. In our joint clubs dance lessons we are getting learners to be comfortable at the B51 level and adding the rest of the mainstream moves following regular lessons as they are ready to move on. So, we have a good number of dancers at the B51 level. 

We know that Jim Hattrick will do us proud getting our new dancers to have a good time at that level of dancing. So bring your new dancers and join us for a fun time.

January 18th is another B-51 dance hosted by the Wolf Pack for all those taking lessons who have taken those 10 weeks and know all those moves.  We invite our members and members of other clubs to join them and welcome them to our square dance community. The dance starts at 7 pm and goes until 9 pm. Sandy Harris will do the calling.

Mid-Winter Festival Jan 27th - 29th at the Fairgrounds in Albany.  Single Trees will be dark that night to attend the festival of square and round dancing.
