Two left feet? Bring em both. Partners encouraged but not required. This is couple dancing, also called choreographed ballroom. We teach figures which allows you to dance almost any phase 2 two-step to start out. Learn techniques to make dancing more fun and a little easier.
Round Dance Lessons: Lessons are back again and we are starting with Two-Step class on Mondays (starting Feb. 6th) at 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm at the Emerald Dance Center. Casual dress. Cushioned wood floor. Smooth-soled shoes work the best. Bring a smile. Partner recommended but not required. We will have a short break at 7:50, and end at 8:15. We have a practice CD to give you to have fun at home.
This will be followed (on the same night) by intermediate dancers at 8:15 pm (need to know waltz & two-step rounds before others). We teach figures so anyone can learn how to lead and to follow. We will talk about what the dancers wish to do. We can also go over the rhythms introduced previously.
We give lessons for Two-Step, Waltz, Cha Cha, Rumba, Slow two-step, Bolero, Foxtrot, and Jive, so far. That's eight rhythms! Oh yes, and the occasional Tango! And they are all fun.
